New for August - Mobile Web Site

We have a lot of new stuff going on and here is a quick rundown:
The big news, and what's been occupying my time for the past 7 months, is a new website. While the basic site looks the same you might notice a different ordering system and other subtle details. The old site went live in 1999 and even with ongoing upgrades it was important to replace the core system so we can move forward. Expect more and more features to be added in the coming months.

The real great news about the new site is that we realize that a lot of you figure out what you need to order when you are in the shop or on a jobsite. If you access our website via a smartphone you will automatically be directed to our new mobile website. As far as I know it works on all major phone browsers. But give it a try and tell me what you think.

We will be at the IWF in Atlanta August 22-25. Our booth, #5522 is pretty near the main entrance in building "B". The booth features Festool and we will be promoting our extensive Festool inventory and great service.

In the booth we will have the new, long-awaited, Festool Router table and impact drill, we are already taking pre-orders for both in advance of their October 1 release data. They are not on our website yet. Soon. You can call or email is if you want to place a pre-order now.

Your mobile website works fine on my blackberry playbook.

I am not getting redirected on either my iPad or my BlackBerry Torch. What is the direct URL of the mobie site?

just go to toolsforworkingwood.com

the IPAd version is the same as the desktop version except that the menus are drop downs and therefore easier to read.
On a small phone - such as an IPhone or Android you should get a completely different site.

We have not tested on a Torch - and currently I think you get the desktop site - we need to have it detect blackberries and switch to the mobel site. I will try to sort this out within the next week.
